Megan Whyman Olesek
Megan Olesek is a trial lawyer who concentrates her practice in patent litigation. Ms. Olesek has substantial experience in a range of technology-focused matters, including patent, trademark and copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and complex technology business disputes. Her practice has included jury and bench trials, proceedings before the International Trade Commission, pre-litigation counseling and appeals. Ms. Olesek has unique insight into the challenges her clients face in managing patent disputes based on her experience as Manager of Intellectual Property Disputes in the in-house legal department of a large technology company.
Prior to joining Kenyon & Kenyon, Ms. Olesek was a partner in the patent litigation practice group of a large international firm.
Ms. Olesek has litigated disputes involving a wide range of technologies, including semiconductor fabrication processes, server systems, voice response technology, telecommunications service management, hotkey functionality in notebook computers, disk drives, online banking security and many others. Ms. Olesek was named among "The Best Lawyers in the Bay Area" in patent litigation by Bay Area Lawyer Magazine in 2005 and 2006.
