Business Development & Communications Specialist

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with the firm’s Director of Business Development to create and execute upon communications plans designed to enhance the visibility and profile of the firm, its lawyers, practice groups and offices.  Key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing profile and directory submissions for ranking and legal referral publications and arranging follow up attorney interviews.
  • Designing ads, brochures, article reprints, announcement cards and other printed and electronic communications materials.
  • Identifying opportunities for and coordinating article placements for industry/trade publications.
  • Preparing and distributing internal and external firm newsletters and client alerts.
  • Executing upon PR campaigns and initiatives.
  • Work closely with the firm’s partners and Director of Business Development on initiatives and projects designed to develop business from new and existing clients.  Key responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting research and compiling information regarding existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, and industry or market trends to aid in the development of presentations and proposals.
  • Collecting and organizing representative matters, client lists and industry/geographic experience for use in practice area, firm and office business development materials.
  • Assisting with the preparation of responses to RFPs, customized pitches, practice descriptions, business development presentations, website content and attorney biographies.

Key Competencies:

  • Sophisticated understanding of the target markets for an IP law firm.
  • An ability to provide fresh ideas for law firm communications projects.
  • A demonstrated ability to prepare law firm ranking submissions and arrange interviews related thereto.
  • A demonstrated ability to write content for business development pitches, brochures, RFPs and other collateral materials directed to decision makers in those target markets.
  • Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, be accountable and work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and an ability to interface with firm partners and executive administration.

Administrative Assistant to Director of Facilities Management

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and send documents and correspondence

Technical Translator

Kenyon’s New York Office is seeking a German Technical Translator to join our Translation Department. The successful candidate will translate from German to English patent applications and documents in the following fields: automotive engineering, general electrical and mechanical engineering, electronics, computer science, telecommunications, chemistry, metallurgy, medicine and law. The applicant will also maintain and improve the firm’s translation memory and terminology database.

Must also possess in-depth knowledge of technical German with concise technical writing in English. Case Manager/Paralegal

Kenyon’s Palo Alto office is seeking a Case Manager / Paralegal. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of strong litigation skills in IP, and have trial and ITC experience. BS/BA degree required, paralegal certificate preferred.

Case Managers perform the following duties:

  • manage case files/documentation;
  • perform assignments that require significant independent judgment and discretion;
  • develops procedures and systems in case organization;
  • create and implement coding protocol for litigation database;
  • conduct preliminary research on factual matters;
  • conduct investigations, statistical, and document research;
  • assist in the review and preparation of document production, document review, and depositions;
