Kenyon is strongly committed to supporting the communities in which we work and live. Organizations which Kenyon supports are described below.

Community Development

Downtown Alliance and Friends of Community Board No. 1 - In downtown New York City, where we were founded over 130 years ago, we are active members of the Downtown Alliance organization and Friends of Community Board No. 1 through which we have helped support the rebuild of downtown Manhattan following the devastating September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center.

Building Healthier Communities

American Heart Association - In Washington DC, Kenyon participates in the annual Lawyers Have Heart run/walk to help raise money for the American Heart Association.

Feeding the Hungry

City Harvest (New York) and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties (California) - Kenyon participates in food drives organized by City Harvest and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties to help feed members of our communities that are in need.

Supporting Families in Need

Family Giving Tree – Kenyon supports Family Giving Tree, an organization which fulfills the holiday wishes of children in low income neighborhoods.

The Children’s Society – Kenyon makes financial contributions to The Children’s Society, which safeguards and improves the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged, and disabled children.

Toys for Tots – Kenyon donates toys to Toys for Tots, which are distributed to underprivileged children in the United States.

Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence - In Silicon Valley, we collect donations for Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, an organization which provides prevention and intervention services for battered women and their children.

Helping the Disabled

Guiding Eyes for The Blind – Kenyon makes financial contributions to Guiding Eyes for The Blind, an internationally accredited guide dog school, which provides the blind and visually impaired with superior Guiding Eyes dogs, training, and lifetime support services.

American Friends of Alyn Hospital (Wheels of Love Annual Charity Bike Ride) – Kenyon sponsors and participates annually in the Wheels of Love International Charity Bike Ride on behalf of the special children of the ALYN Hospital in Jerusalem.

Mentoring Our Youth

All Stars Project - Kenyon is a sponsor of the Joseph A. Forgione Development School for Youth in New York City (Division of the All Stars Project). Through this program, Kenyon invites up to six high-school students from the School for a summer internship and mentoring program. Managers and staff from Kenyon’s administrative departments mentor these students to help them gain valuable professional experience as well as teach to them how to face challenges in a new way. The firm also acts as pro bono counsel to the All Stars and to the Development School for Youth.

New York City Mentor Program - Kenyon attorneys mentor a diverse group of area high school students to help them prepare for careers in law. We provide college planning assistance and prepare them for moot court competitions.

Investing in Education

Boys and Girls Clubs of America - Kenyon devotes financial support and time commitments to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The organization, which has chapters across the US, provides a safe and stimulating after-school environment for students and youth.

Resource Area For Teaching (RAFT) – Kenyon donates time and resources to RAFT, an organization which provides creative ideas, affordable project materials, and professional development programs to teachers. RAFT helps teachers create a stimulating educational environment for students which encourage academic and personal achievement.
